About
Mitzvah Volunteer Program (Grades 6-7)
The Mitzvah Volunteer Program is designed for boys and girls in 6th and 7th grade who want to learn the true meaning of giving, volunteering, and making a positive impact in their community. Serving families across North Broward and South Palm Beach, this program introduces young teens to the value of kindness, responsibility, and inclusion.
This program is an ideal way to prepare for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah and qualifies as a meaningful Mitzvah Project. Over the course of four weeks, participants engage in hands-on activities, interactive workshops, multimedia learning, and inspiring guest speakers. They gain a deeper understanding of individuals with unique abilities while developing empathy and leadership skills.
At the conclusion of the program, participants apply what they’ve learned by planning and hosting a special event for children in the Friendship Circle community—creating an experience built on inclusion, connection, and joy.
