Friendship Circle provides comprehensive training and ongoing support for all volunteers throughout the year, including additional leadership development opportunities and a team-building weekend retreat.
All new and returning volunteers are required to attend an orientation seminar before beginning their volunteer experience. This interactive training is designed to fully prepare volunteers, ensuring they feel confident and equipped to create meaningful, positive experiences for individuals with unique abilities across North Broward and South Palm Beach.
The orientation includes hands-on activities, real-life scenarios, and a guided Q&A session with a licensed therapist who works with children and individuals with diverse needs. The therapist shares practical insights, communication strategies, and helpful approaches to support successful and respectful interactions.
