Friendship Circle is more than just a volunteer program—it’s a vibrant, welcoming community where teens build real friendships while making a meaningful impact. We connect volunteers with children and teens with unique abilities, creating experiences centered around inclusion, respect, and genuine connection. At Friendship Circle, every individual is accepted, valued, and appreciated for who they are. Our teen volunteers come from communities across North Broward and South Palm Beach, united by a shared commitment to giving back.
In addition to earning community service hours, volunteers have the opportunity to qualify for the Friendship Circle Special Needs Fellowship Award. Teens who complete at least 30 volunteer credits within a school year are eligible for this recognized achievement, which can be included on college applications and may be accompanied by a partial scholarship. Many colleges place strong emphasis on meaningful community involvement—this program allows students to stand out by demonstrating leadership, compassion, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
